Business customers, in particular can depart on either of the first two flights and get back to Little Rock the same day.

Currently, United Express operates three daily flights from Little Rock to Denver.

"Expanding air service at LIT is a top priority. This is incredible news for the city and state. We could not be more pleased to be able to offer the additional service to our customers. Anytime an airline expands air service, the action demonstrates the strength of the market," says Ron Mathieu, executive director at Little Rock National Airport. "LIT has been successful in maintaining service because of the support we continue to receive from our customers in what is still a very trying time for airlines and airports", said Mathieu.

OTHER AIRPORT ACTIVITY:

In March, Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines consolidated operations at LIT. American Eagle also made changes replacing 50 seat aircrafts from LIT to DFW with four 64 seat ATR 72s. The change in aircraft added 106 daily seats to the LIT-DFW market. Beginning August 16, Southwest Airlines will reinstate non-stop service from LIT-Phoenix.

Just this week LIT announced plans for a $3M taxiway upgrade from recently allocated American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.

"As we move forward with plans to grow our airport, increased air service can only strengthen our efforts," says Mathieu.
